Have you ever considered using Thunderclap for your book launch? I started my first campaign 4 days ago. I already have 74 out of the 100 supporters needed with a social reach of 162,109.

What is Thunderclap? Think of Thunderclap as a social media flash mob, or a massive scheduled social post. Your supporters can sign up to have your message published one time to their account on the date and time you choose.

Thunderclap makes it so your fans don’t need to remember to post your message to their social media account at a specific time. They can sign up ahead of time, and you’ll have a clear picture of your social reach even before launch day.

2. It’s very easy to set up a Free Thunderclap Campaign: https://www.thunderclap.it/start
Your campaign will go through an approval process.

3. You need 100 Supporters for your Free Thunderclap Campaign. Your supporters can choose to promote you on Facebook, Twitter, and/or Tumblr. A supporter just clicks on the link and chooses which platforms to share your message.

4. If you don’t reach 100 supporters you can choose to purchase a plan which will post your campaign on the day you selected. Paid plans: https://www.thunderclap.it/pricing

5. Create your Thunderclap Campaign at least one month ahead of your planned book launch.

6. Make a list of your connections you want to ask to support your Thunderclap Campaign. I divided my lists into subgroups such as authors, educators, former students and staff members, Facebook group members, and LinkedIn Connections.

7. Create a short message to post as a private message on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or email.

My message example: Hi Mark! I am so excited to be launching my first solo book – Work It Out Together!: A Step-by-Step Guide for Implementing a Peer Mediation Program on August 11th. Would you please help me get the word out by supporting my Thunderclap Campaign? All you need to do is click the link and select Facebook, Twitter and/or Tumblr.

8. Thank your supporters through a private message as they sign up.

9. Create a short message to post on Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.

10. Review your daily stats for your campaign. Review your progress and keep promoting.
