Share Your Dream for 2016 and Your Favorite Success Book

(Let’s try this again… The other day I set up a way for us to share comments BUT the site that I set it up on was not letting people post entries. I am SO sorry for this inconvenience. Thankfully a few people were able to post comments – which you will find below. Enjoy!)

Being that I received so many emails from folks wanting to share, but unable to post – I’ve decided to set up this post as a place for us to share our thoughts.

That said…

As we approach the new year, this is a perfect time of year to reflect on our hopes, dreams, challenges, and success. Please share one of your dreams for the coming year. as well as your favorite success-focused book?” Here’s to health, happiness, success, and dreams come true! D’vorah

(From D’vorah Lansky) One of my dreams for 2016 is to find my dream home! I’d like to live closer to the ocean, in a temperate climate, and in a fun-filled, healthy, success-oriented, community.

The success focused book I recommend reading is: The 5AM Miracle: Dominate Your Day Before Breakfast, by Jeff Sanders.

(From Dianne Sagan) My dream for 2016 is to launch a new mystery series and new women’s fiction series under my own new imprint. A favorite success focused book is Jerry B. Jenkin’s, Writing for the Soul.

Picture(From Karen Gar) My dream this year is to identify my ideal client/s and design at least two coaching programs to launch my new coaching business on or by 3Q16. My favorite success-focused book is Napoleon Hill’s, Think & Grow Rich.

Picture(From Sylvia Resnick) My hope for 2016 is to have much better health, to have my published books reach best seller status and to bond with a like minded friend who is close by, supportive, non judgmental.

Picture(From Ernie Boxall) Apart from the continued love of my daughters, my greatest success of 2015 was to complete the ten speeches of the Competent Communicator series of Toastmasters International. My goal for 2016 is to complete my advanced programme and follow the advice in ‘World Class Speaking in Action‘ Craig Valentine and Mitch Meyerson and friends.

Happy New Year! D’vorah

  1. D’vorah, my little dream is to break even on my business costs and to write another small book to help students who are struggling to understand how to study human physiology. My big dream is for my 2015 book “Inside the Closed World of the Brain” to open up a new discussion about how to prevent Alzheimer’s disease among the professionals who are able to make progress happen in this area of medicine.

  2. Pamela says:

My dream is to be able to publish my first book in 2016 and position myself for more businesses.

  3. Hello everyone!

Can I share two please? 🙂

I have not clearly defined all of my dreams for 2016 yet… there will be many. One of them is to intimately work with one word the entire year, and really get to grips with that concept, inside out.

My word is ‘Visibility’. I’ll formulate many different specific goals around that, like starting to play around with Blab or Periscope to reach more ideal clients for my coaching business (and of course, for my books).

And my second dream is to make a financial success of my coaching business. Yes, I do make money currently. And on a ‘fulfillment’ level my business is a success because I LOVE what I do, I love my clients, and I love the feeling of making a difference in the world. And, I’ll work in 2016 on focusing on bringing in far more income and enjoying perhaps buying a new car because of that income.

My favourite success book is Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles”. It’s wonderful to read in short chapters, each can be read in about 20 minutes before the day starts. I got so much inspiration from that book during this year.

Thanks for the opportunity to share, D’vorah, I too believe it’s powerful to speak our dreams and intentions out loud or write them down.

  4. My dreams for the future are to become successful and well known. I have already started by becoming more involved in my community (Step1).
I am stuck in a well paying job that I truly do not enjoy. My hope is to have my laptop in front of me during every free moment I possess. I have many novels I am working on and none that I am near to completing. I have begun prioritizing my work, knowing what projects I wish to accomplish first.
2016 will be a year of progress for me, personally, professionally and philanthropically. I must first set my goals for this year and this webinar will help towards that end.
I would recommend for anyone interested in finding motivation in their life to read any book by John C Maxwell. He is a leader of men and he will show you how to take control of your life, before taking control of others. The key to success is being genuine in every endeavor.

  5. My dream for 2016 is to institute an online dream group that follows the process outlined in my book, Discover the Messages in Your Dreams with the Ullman Method. With that experience, I intend to finish my second book, Discover the Hidden Beliefs in Your Dreams.

  6. My dream for 2016 is to get out of my own way and open the doors of timidity to let in the joy – the joy of enabling women facing hair loss to step out of the shadows, reconnect with their self-confidence and reclaim their joy. What that entails is the constant tending and growth of my author platform – writing, speaking and list building.

As Socrates so wisely said: “The secret of change is to focus all of your energy not fighting the old, but on building the new.”

A new year is coming…a new focus is here.

    • Oops…and the most helpful book I’ve read this year is:

The Slight Edge: Turning Simple Disciplines into Massive Success and Happiness by Jeff Olson and John David Mann.

  7. morgan376 says:

My goal for 2016 is to become successful, show a huge profit in my business (after taxes) and become a well-known expert in the “ills in medical bills.” I want to develope seminars that will enable me to travel across the USA in a fantastic motorhome educated individuals on this topic. Having a book about the topic will be an advantage and unlike previous ones that have been written. Open to ideas and suggestions as to what to write and talk about. As a result of all this, I will get paid to give talks so that my business pays for my motorhome.

  8. sonoma88 says:

I believe that the non profit world is the backbone of our communities. My dream is to create and launch a transformational on line Proposal Writing course this year that provides insights to funding for these organizations. By telling their compelling stories of need and solutions to those problems and opportunities matched with the goals of a funder, I believe I can make a difference in that day to day struggle to do their best work.

  9. In 2015 I completed D’vorah and Doug’s Podcasting course. Then in Jan. 2016,
I published my first weekly podcast on iTunes, Stitcher Radio and Double Twist: Building Parents & Good Kids.” Can you tell, I LOVE PODCASTING! As a result of my work, I’m presenting a webinar for PROMODAY 2016, an all day event for writers and authors: Podcasting to Build Your Brand.
My goal for this year is to set up ONLINE COURSES (thank you D’vorah for offering this) so I can expand my reach to parents, and I hope to make a little money at the same time.
The most helpful book I’ve read this year is a cute little book titled Build Your Beauty Brand, by Holly I. Hall.
