Session Title: Productivity at the Speed of Light
Session Description: When your work demands high productivity, what does it take to get the job done and prevent overwhelm? Working at the speed of life, amidst “organized chaos” and buzzing, humming pandemonium, we have to be a very well organized machine. The systems you use will make a difference. If you are an author in today’s marketplace, you have to think like a publisher/producer. Whether you are writing content, producing ancillary audio/video content, communicating on a deadline, or finding venues to build your platform, organizational systems keep it all moving. In our case, regular schedules, documentation, practices and procedures keep everyone involved focused, help us avoid overwhelm, provide necessary boundaries and creative breathers. Personal notebooks to computer generated forms and online collaborative software help free up our time and allow for the creativity we are all happiest doing.
